City Licenses

The City Clerk's Office issues a number of Licenses for the City of Springfield. Below is a list of the Licenses that our offices issues. The approving authority is the Mayor, unless otherwise stated.

Please note: the City Clerk's office pro-rates licenses 6 months into the license year - July 1st or December 31st depending on when the license expires. Replacement decals can be purchased for $5. The old decal must accompany the application for a replacement.

Auctioneer

Fee - $100 Annually

License expires on December 31st

Fee - $25/each alley Annually

Coin Operators

Limited Operator (2 or less devices) Fee - $100 Annually

Coin Operators (3 or more devices) Fee - $250 Annually

PLUS Per Device Registration Fee - $50/each machine Annually

Decals for the devices are issued. There is a $5 fee for a replacement decal.

Fee - $25 Annually

License expire annually from the date they are granted

Multi-Vendor Event

Fee - Depends on how many vendors are at the event

Application is available in our office and must be completed by the event coordinator – we do request that all information be turned in at least one week prior to the event

Peddler/Solicitor

Fee - 1 day - $10.00, 1 month - $25.00, 2 months - $40.00, 1 year - $80.00

After July 1, applicant can get a 1 year for only $40.00
